We have been coming to Yuri's pop ups for quite a few years now and every time the food is of extremely high quality.
I have yet to experience Japanese cuisine better than Yuri's and I'm not sure I ever will. The atmosphere in Yuri and Andy's beautiful home is always so relaxed and welcoming. We've even bought our foodie, well travelled friends along who agreed that it's the best Japanese food they've had outside of Japan.

What a feast!!
all six of us had at Yuri’s pop up restaurant last night. So many delicious courses skillfully prepared and presented. Some we had never eaten before - but all were scrumptious. Our only struggle was finding room for it all! There was a lovely relaxed atmosphere and we all had a great evening. What a talented chef Yuri is. Thank- you. Jane, Wittersham

Absolutely amazing!
Yuri and Andrew, thank you so much for a fantastic experience. Dinner at ours for seventeen guests, many delicious dishes and more umami than you can shake a stick at.

“Fantastic evening! Delicious Japanese food with dishes I had never tried before. The tofu was superb; just slightly crispy on the outside and then soft and velvety inside, it was elevated to something that felt like a delicacy. Our 9 year old loved the sea salted edamame beans and showed us the best method to opening them. Such a vast selection of dishes for us all to try and discuss. It was wonderful. I was apprehensive about sharing our table with ’strangers’ but the food and the warm atmosphere made us all feel like friends sharing a memorable evening together within minutes. The presentation was flawless and the flavours had remarkable depth which gave a real experience of the Japanese culture.
My personal favourite was the maguro tempuramaki (deep fried tuna maki) which was simply mouthwatering. The fish had an unbelievable taste and the crispy deep fried batter gave it a satisfying crunch and texture. Yuri’s pop up restaurantに行ってきました。素晴らしい手料理の数々、煮物にお寿司に揚げ物とすごく美味しいです！オーナーシェフが作成する献立メニューは、和食のバラエティーに富んでいて楽しくいただけました。一緒に行ったイギリス人の旦那も沢山の美和食に大喜び。イギリスはサセックスにあるオーナーシェフの自宅をpop up restaurantにした空間は、どこか隠れ家レストランのよう。相席になった方々とのお喋り、フレンドリーでアットホームなサービスと雰囲気の中、とても良い時間を過ごしました。イギリスで和食ならお勧めのレストランです！またB＆Bもされているので、泊まりがけで利用し、サセックス周辺の観光もお勧め。一押しです！
